What is Gig Assist Emeryville?
Gig Assist Emeryville is a program intended to increase access to GIG Car Share service by providing a 10% discount* on all Gig trips to Emeryville residents who are enrolled in CalFresh, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE).
How Can I Participate?
To qualify for the Gig Assist Program Emeryville, you must be a resident of Emeryville, be a GIG Car Share Member in good standing, and be currently enrolled in either CalFresh (SNAP) or CARE.

How Does the Discount Work?
After successful enrollment, the 10% discount* will be automatically applied to all trips.
You will also be able to combine the discount with other Gig credits and discounts such as the AAA Membership discount and Golden Gig discount, unless otherwise specified. Discounts will not count towards tolls, parking tickets, or other fees incurred during a trip.

Description: GIG Car Share’s (“Gig”) Gig Assist Emeryville program (“Gig Assist Emeryville”) is intended to increase access to rideshare vehicles by providing discounted rates (the “Benefit”) to Emeryville residents who are currently enrolled in the CalFresh/Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (“SNAP”) or California Alternate Rates for Energy (“CARE”) (collectively, the “Programs”).
Eligibility: To qualify for Gig Assist Emeryville, you must (1) be a resident of Emeryville, (2) be a GIG Car Share Member in good standing, and (3) be currently enrolled in either CalFresh/SNAP or CARE.
To Participate: To participate in Gig Assist Emeryville fill out the enrollment form and follow the instructions. Acceptable forms of proof of participation in the Programs include a recent PG&E energy statement or a CalFresh notice of approval from SNAP. Proof of participation must reflect current enrollment in one of the Programs, and the address on any proof must match the address associated with your Gig Membership. Once Gig has verified your eligibility, you will receive the Benefit described below. Gig will re-evaluate eligibility on an annual basis.
Benefit: Eligible Emeryville residents enrolled in either one of the Programs will receive a ten (10) percent discount off all Gig Trips, to be applied automatically after successful enrollment. The Benefit may be used in combination with other Gig discounts and credits, unless otherwise specified.
General: Gig may modify, amend, suspend or supplement Gig Assist Emeryville at any time. Participation in Gig Assist Emeryville is subject to Gig’s Member Agreement and Privacy Policy.
