SF Bay Area

Edgewood Park and Natural Preserve
San Mateo County
One of the best places on the peninsula for wildflowers, especially California's state flower, the golden poppy. Come see the magnificent displays within the park's 467 acres of woodlands and grasslands.

Flower Bulb Day (March 9)
San Francisco County
More than 80,000 tulips will gorgeously be on display in San Francisco's Union Square. Visit from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. to pick your own from the bunch (maximum of 15 tulips per person).

North Table Mountain Ecological Reserve
Butte County
This area was formed by ancient lava flows, storing the water from rain in its porous rock. This results in incredible vistas of spring wildflowers, waterfalls, lava outcrops, and a rare type of vernal pool.

Jepson Prairie Preserve
Solano County
This is one of California's few remaining native bunchgrass prairies. Here you will find more than 400 species of plants that paint the landscape in ribbons of white, purple, and yellow.

Seattle

La Conner Daffodil Festival | Skagit Valley Tulip Festival 
Skagit County
Annual must-sees are the La Conner Daffodil Festival in March and Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in April. Head up to the farm fields north of Seattle to enjoy the millions of blooming daffodils and tulips.

Cowiche Canyon Conservancy
Yakima County
This treasured area in Yakima consists of 7,000 acres of land and more than 40 miles of trails. The landscape is made up of sagebrush and grasslands, flowering meadows, oak woodlands, and more.

Klickitat State Park Trail
Klickitat County
This area was once an old railroad corridor connecting the towns of Lyle and Goldendale. Now, you'll find a beautiful variety of wildflowers among canyons lined with oak and pine trees.

University of Washington Cherry Blossoms
King County
In the middle of March, cherry blossoms will peak in the University District. Be among the many to visit UW's iconic cherry trees and enjoy the 3rd Annual Cherry Blossom Festival.
